Being to old has meant that I never got involved in Conservative Future, and to be perfectly honest, when I was in the part of my life that was within the age limit I had more important things to do like clubbing, taking drugs, and just generally not bothering about politics because the 1990s were for me, all about hedonistic excess.
This said, it sounds very much like there is trouble brewing amongst the young Tory organisation. Caroline Hunt - a former canddiate for Chair - has it seems written on her blog quite a broadside at the failure of CF to communicate outside the "London clique" as well citing one CF area chair who is certainly not complimentary towards the current leadership team of Mark Clarke.
One criticism that Caroline makes, which is certainly strong is that the CF website is rarely updated, and that in the last CF bulletin members were told to check out CF Diary on Conservative Home for information. As she put it, this is a bit like the Government saying "for information on what we're doing in between press conferences please consult BBC News 24".
Angry young people, isn't it all so revolutionary! Read more here.

Caroline's blog post was a tad too long for my attention span, but your headline pulled me in.
I did get involved with CF in my local area a couple of years ago and your headline does say it all - CF is a joke! It was just a place to stick the kids of the party to keep them out of the grown-ups way.
In this modern political world with children being "adultised" at a younger age, should CF even exist anymore?
As a former copywriter for the CF between 2006-7, I was most distatisfied with the way they organised themselves to say in the very least.
It doesn't help that their chairman is a complete wanker. Know of many Conservatives who were really shocked that he got Tooting and wouldn't vote for him in a month of sundays.
