The problem is that he does look weird

I've just read this post on Political Betting which was inspired by this post from Paul Linford.
it's a deadly serious attempt by the right to fix the idea of Gordon as a "weirdo" in the public mind..... you can see also see it happening on all the leading right-wing blogs.
I would just like to confirm that I have no sense of humour and every time I post and take the proverbial out of Brown and his wonky eye; the utterly creepy false smile; the weird shifty look; the surreal bouncing around like he's on valium; and the obsessive compulsive hand movements I am acting under orders.
Every morning I receive a telegram from CCHQ. This morning's said - "Welcome to the vast right-wing conspiracy stop you have been chosen because we think you can help stop please send us £5000 so that we can release funds in Liberia worth £25bn that a complete stranger called Piere emailed us about stop remember to say that Brown is a weirdo today stop this telegram will self-destr"

I hear and obey

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the word weirdo actually first arise from Blairite counter smearing in the long running saga of Blair-Brown?

Love the irony!

You do have to wonder how a normal person could watch Brown grinning all the way through an announcement about AIDS, and not think there was something a bit off about him. The disco hands, the odd bounces and the random smiles don't help matters either...

I got the email too. I am unwilling to engage in free thought and it is only the opinions/orders of the special conspiracy that prevent me from admitting that GB is the best Prime Minister we have ever experienced. The suggestions that his government and their policies are short sighted, address only symptoms and not causes and are geared only to maintain power are clearly wrong but but I must obey orders or I won't get ice cream this evening.

Of course, it was all right for Blair to call Hague weird, wasn't it. Labour hypocrisy as usual.

Brown looks like a dodgy paedo - Cameron looks like a cretinous dough-faced spastic. Such is the way of the world.

does that mean you're a Lib Dem?

I get my orders through the television. I thought everybody did.

It's perfectly clear that Gordon Brown is a very STRANGE man. The public are not daft - they know a weirdo when they see one.

Cameron is like Hugh Grant. Charming and handsome. :)

woohoo.

Just tell all your loyal Conservative servants, myself included, where to post to the cheque to.

What's the problem? All politicians are weird. Politics is a profoundly weird pursuit. Handling billions of pounds appropriated from taxpayers, heading the world's third largest employer, organizing the defence of the nation, all with no qualifications save victory in a popularity contest. And now they think they can make fat people thin and save the world from certain doom. Barking.

Left-wing get-together: solidarity

Right-wing " " : conspiracy

Amazing.

Certain doom emanates from Barking?! Crikey, I knew to avoid the place, just couldn’t put my finger on it.

That's because the place is ruff! I have heard tails -- err, tales.

I do agree that Brown not only looks weird but comes across as distinctly false. I am so careful to avoid judging a book by its cover, but sometimes it's just not possible to perceive someone as on-the-level -- and Brown is a prime example of that.
