A zero-carbon home is as likely as a flying....

I've always thought this notion of a "zero-carbon" home was silly. Apparently, according to the Government it means that
over a year, the net carbon emissions from all energy use in the home would be zero. This would include energy use from cooking, washing and electronic appliances as well as space heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and hot water.
Deifntely no more toasters! OFFICIAL!

Er, how do you create no carbon? If you have GCH or a gas cooker, you produce carbon. If you buy your electric from the national grid, a percentage of it will be generated by burning things. Thus, there must be something in the house ABSORBING carbon. Like trees. Do they plant a tree each week in order to soak up that carbon?
Fuck me, I can't believe I wasted time even typing this, as the BIG LIE of MMGW is beginning to die already...
