Woah! deja vu!

According to "friends of Gordon Brown" in the Independent he is privately saying he will only serve a maximum of seven years which would equate to one full term as Prime Minister if he can win the next General Election. He won't, apparently, make the mistake of Thatcher and Blair of going for ten years and so will stand aside. They don't say there is a "deal" but I wonder if the move was planned in a restaurant? A glitch in the Matrix?
