A whatogram?

I've just witnessed the use of the word "organogram" by a senior executive. Apparently, this bastardised travesty of English is a synergy of "organisation" and "diagram".

N.B. The word synergy above is meant as a joke.

What a horrid, horrid word.

I first heard it used in 1994 whilst working in Leicestershire, although the manager 'demonstrating' it to me (he first said the word, I failed to understand it, then he explained its meaning - talk about a let-down - and I said, "Surely that's a drawing of corporate structure...") had had considerable exposure to American managment methods. When in doubt, blame the Yam Danks.

Damn. I was hoping it meant a light-weight appendage.
