In case you didn't catch it the first time round...

Today, the Housing Minister Yvette Cooper has announced the launch of a new shared equity mortgage scheme called Open Market HomeBuy. It should be noted that this is not the same as the Open Market HomeBuy initiative it launched in May 2005.

I think the record for Government re-announcements is held jointly by the former Department for the Environment, Transport and the Regsions and the DTI for the launch of the Regional Venture Capital Fund. The DETR announced it four times prior to the 2001 election, then responsibility was transferred to the DTI which then announced it a further three times. No word of a lie.
