The split at the very heart of the Labour Party over the Post Office looks like it might be spilling out on to the Labour blogs that can eeasily be influenced. Take for example this very long blog post by Kerry McCarthy, MP for Bristol East.
The entire post reads like a briefing paper written by someone like Peter Mandelson or one of his SpAds. The headings of the post look suspiciously lieka cut and paste from an email sent out calling for help in stopping the growing rebellion.

Well she is New labour a Blairite.
An interesting post Dizzy.
You say "blogs" - plural - in the headline.
You cite ONE blog in the body of the post.
Where are the others, pray tell?
I asked a question in the headline, I didn't make a statement.
To quote Mandelson:
"Surprised?"
The passion for the loonies to dominate us all with their control freakery is such as to a make rather pathetic attempt of their own to take over the blogosphere. Rather late in the day, methinks!
Thanks to a blogger called Subrosa I learned that Post Office delivery products are subject to no VAT or are 0 rated.
Now if Mandy punts the PO into the private sector Darling stands to make 17% VAT on £7 billion every year.
Over £1 billion.
now we know why
The post office is literally S**T, everything bout it is S**T. Even the postmen around here nick stuff from Recorded Delivery items!
Point is, I for one could care less the PO is crap.
It is taken from the PLP media "lines to take" briefing. Which comes into my hands...
I know this makes me sound even sadder than someone who would cut and paste from a PLP briefing, but as it happens it was me, just me, sitting on my sofa on a Sunday night with a cup of cocoa, with nothing better to do. I thought people might welcome the opportunity to debate the issue. Silly, I know.
