Has Jack Straw spoken to Adam Ingram yet?

You have to love the revolving door of politics into business. Having just browsed the latest Register of Members' Interests I see Adam Ingram, the former Defence minister, is doing alright with earning in excess of £100,000 on top of his MP salary.

Interestingly he has registered that he is now a consultant for Electronic Data Systems Ltd (EDS) earning between £50 and £55K. Considering he was at the MoD when EDS signed a big juicy contract hardly a surprise.

I can't wonder though whether Jack Straw will be having a word with the EDS consultant in realtion to yet another data loss story. After all, EDS were the contractor that lost the latest disk.

Two words, I'd imagine; "any jobs?"

Maybe Jack will become an EDS 'consultant' too, if he does not give them shit over the lost data. This looks to be even more lucrative than expense claims.

I can't help wondering whether this story suddenly appeared so as to undermine Jack Straw's personal standing in the run-up to the conference. It wouldn't be a new thing for the Brown camp to brief against rivals/critics...
