RFID human impacts cause cancer?

You can't beat a good cancer scare story, be it wifi, pylons, the wrong colour shoes, everything these days causes cancer. Apparently, RFID chips implanted in human beings probably do too.

OK, ok, get yourself past the unbelievably scary concept that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved implanting microchips in humans first..... right..... have you calmed down at the dystopian nightmare? Good.

So yes, basically, it seems when they agreed to let it happen they were not made aware by the companies and researchers that a number of veterinary and toxicology studies, which were carried out back in the 1990's had found that the implants induced malignant tumors in some of the lab mice and rats.

It's OK, no need to panic yet. The Government, as far as I know, has not suggested that we all have chip implants to help speed up our use of the NHS and other public services.... yet.
