Personally I think this is all just getting a bit silly now. Downing Street has its own YouTube channel, so does the EU, and now, Blinky Balls has had a channel set up for the Department for Children, Schools and Families. It only has two videos so far, one of which is some interview with Blinky himself on TeachersTV.
How long is it going to be before we have a channel for every department? Or is the DfCSF just trying to be down with the kids because of its brief? What happens when there is a reshuffle and the department changes it name again? It will be interesting to monitor and see how many videos actually get uploaded and more importantly how many people actually bother watching.
And people say David Cameron is all gimmicks?
