Cameron ambushed by "Labour hoodie"
The most amusing observation about politics has to be the fact that you can say one thing, it can be reported as another, and then becomes a truism. From the Tory point of view, in recent times, "hug a hoodie" is one of those lines that was never actually uttered by David Cameron, but has become attributed to him. This results in this sort of thing.
I'll be honest though, I've never really understood this sort of ambush thing that Labour, or any other party for that matter does. What exactly is the point? It's all a little childish really. It's especially weird in somewhere like Sedgefield where Labour are not even remotely going to lose.

But bearing in mind the previous post (about CRB checks), one must surely ask if Cameron has been CRB vetted for contact with potential children?
We must be told!
He might have got a better reception in Hull...
The "Hug a Hoodie" was first heard on the Today programme as a pick-up from the Guardian.
Presumably James Naughtie will get his knighthood for political services rather than for broadcasting.
and today i learn that the Tories want to rise taxes on beer.
they really dont want to win the next election do they?
Potential children indeed. Someone should get those Labour Students and their airhead friends into line PDQ! Same goes for their equivalents in Tory Future and Lib Dem Immaturity or whatever the latter is called.
if you do a google on "hug a hoodie" its of no surprise that the guardian and the bbc feature prominently.
google search
here is the speech Cameron made and yes, he never *did* say that phrase.
The "hug a hoodie" phrase actually comes from Labour:
mentioned here in this guardian article - Vernon Coaker, Labour, Home Office.
The "hug a hoodie" nonsense, is another example of how the left-wing media can define the Conservative Party in much of the public perception. Hardly surprising that the BBC have been responsible for popularising the term. It was another attempt to misrepresent the Conservatives. The BBC have, for decades, tried to show the Conservative Party the way the Labour Party want the Conservatives to be seen.
When you have such Labour bias in the MSM, this type of misrepresentation has been and will remain a very big problem for Cameron or any Conservative leader.
It happens so quickly and there is so much fuss around Cameron that I can't even see it.
