The cost of red boxes?

Well blow me down with a feather, I never knew that ministerial red boxes cost quite so much! According to the MoD's figures it seems the price fluctuates quite heavily depending on how many you buy. In 2002 and 2003, one box cost £585 and £559 respectively. The following year in 2004 they bought two boxes and got them for £458 each.

Then in 2005 the price for two boxes dropped dramatically to £282 each. Pricing becomes a littleodd in 2006 though, as they managed to buy four boxes for just £137.50 each, but bought one on it's own for £720. That's one hell of mark-up on just the one box huh? Perhaps it could hold more paperwork? I don't know. Never dreamed they would be that expensive though.

That's the price of decent leather.

My Piquadro briefcase was about £450 (I bought it in Oporto), but they are much cheaper in Rome.

Mind you, it's much nicer than that horrible one...

And what, might I ask, is wrong with Old English Vinyl?

Nothing, I guess.

Remember Goldie and Metalheadz?

I still have a record bag (remember them too?) that's made of vinyl or some other oil-based compound. A Metalheadz one I bought from some London record shop.

Dizzy,

This is also to do with customisation and setup costs. To put it simply, if you buy 100 lithoprinted flyers, they will cost more per flyer than if you bought 1,000.
