Blair is so like an IT project manager it's unbelievable. Every IT project I've ever known has a "launch party" that is organised by the PM (that's project manager, not Prime Minister). Rarely do you find the operational people at the party, they would go but they're fixing the broken system that is being celebrated as a success to the outside world.

Blair the Ostrich emails the Party faithful
Tony Blair has sent out an email to party activists as he launches their local survival election campaign. Blair tells activists that Labour are "in the lead" and that the results of Labour policies on the NHS have been "impressive" and they should all "take pride" in them. All of this being said at the same time as senior Labour people are briefing the press about the "bloody nose" they know they'll suffer in May.

White is black, black is white- tell it long enough somebody will believe it
Every day Goerge Orwell's corpse spins faster and faster in his grave.
We should wrap him in some copper wire and put some magnets around him and we could achieve our EU carbon targets!
Sorry old boy - he's not a project manager cut from this cloth, I can tell you.
For starters I am on time and on budget, and my projects work. Hell at the time, but worth it.
Oh, and the system fixers have to be at the finish party, other wise how can you know it is self sustaining?
as a system fixer I don't go because I know how "da biznis" sees things.
government doesn't employ 'real' project managers.
They have process managers wearing the wrong cap. Tick the boxes boys, keep following the process and it will be ok on the night... not.
'Real' project managers don't get to work for government, they show too many people up.
it would seem blairs decree absalute from reality has finaly arrived.
