I can't take anymore of Brown's Speech

I'm sorry there is no rolling thread on Brown's speech. I have been lsitening but I have turned it off in disgust. The guy is just lying through his teeth and doing the expected general hypocrisy. Highlights include:
  • Demanding that financial accounting be transparent and unhidden. This from the man that has put over £100bn of debt off-balance sheet using PFI.
  • Randomly chose number of creating 1 million new jobs.
  • Claiming that he's created 3 million jobs without actually noting that those are linked to immigration.
  • Saying that he doesn't use his chidlren as props (see previous post)
I have to go now, there are needles on my desk and I intend to stab myself in the eyes with them. It will be more enjoyable.

I'm with you on this Dizzy....

This must be one of the worst ever speeches given by anyone in the history of speeches...

And he's still going on!

Perhaps Brown's plan is to stay standing and speaking until the date of the next election?

I hope you did stop listening.. as it got worse.

He also said he is going to cure cancer, invade Burma, Darfur and Zimbabwe AND cure the Middle East.

Mental. Utterly mental

There is so much of that speech that is just plain wrong and easily rebutted in just a few minutes.

We will see what the MSM make of it. Of course many of them are tied into the Labour project, so we can't expect much from them.

I really hate Gordon Brown. At least with Tony it was possible to listen to the speech and take some pleasure in the little oratorical tricks, the false pathos, the cheesy grin...I could go on. But with Brown all you get is a) lies b)damned lies and c) statistics, and they are delivered in a completely dead manner.Like his premiership.

I wouldn't worry Dizzy. Dave and co get their right of reply next week.

They can now sit down and pick Gordon's speech apart and expose all of his lies, one by one. Gordon should be on the ropes in seven days time if the Tories get their act together.

I wouldn't rule out dirty tricks from Labour though. The Chairman of the Conservative party is still being investigated for fraudulent use of expenses.

I didn't listen to Snottie McTwat's speech. I have acute earache at the moment and it's preferable to the babblings of a dysfunctional has-been.

He wouldn't know the truth if it bit his nails for him. What did the UK do to deserve this unelected creep in No 10. Must have been something really dreadful...

Great fun listening to the all post speech platitudes from the loyalists currently on TV. You'd think Brown was the second coming (rather than the first going that we'd all sooner see).

Anyway, it won't last... the speech was absolutely dire (and yeah I did manage to listen to it all). By tomorrow, Brown's lies will all be revealed and the faithful will be a little less full of praise for the great man.

As the saying goes; "you can fool some of the people some of the time". Well,' some of the people' = Labour party members who suspect the game is up (but hope it isn't). And 'some of the time' = the period between Gordon's speech and a goodnight's sleep.

As for everyone else? Only the foolish will have bought into the crap spouted today, the rest will be left to pick up the bills.

What stunt will snotty pull when the Tory conference is on? another war perhaps.
