Kinnock Defeats Maggie Thatcher at the 1987 General Election

If you like fantasy then you might want to buy this new game called Prime Minister Forever where it actually can happen.

Reminds me a bit of an old (1980s) BBC Micro game called UK PLC. But it's a sign of how times have changed that in that game, you would be re-elected if you governed well, and if the economy was strong and if taxes were low and everybody had jobs. This game seems to be purely about perceptions, marketing and spin. When oh when will the age of spin be over?

Is the example of Kinnock chosen to indicate that this is fantasy ?

I have tried out the demo and ran out of patience. I think one needs to read the manual. Way back lost there was a PC game called Shadow President wherein one had to bring about world peace, democracy etc. I found that universal free trade was a short cut to victory.

Shadow President is now abandonware and can be downloaded for nowt.
