In a rare moment of blogging about blogging I feel compelled to royally deliver the smackdown to the Labour blogger and irritant commenter Chris Paul. Yesterday evening I posted that Michael Gove's promotion to shadow Ed Balls on schools was excellent news. This morning, Chris Paul has left a comment asking "How can a public schoolboy pronounce on the state sector?".
Presumably this is because Gove once attended Robert Gordon's College in Scotland after having also been in the state sector. Interestingly, Chris Paul has not made the same argument against the appointment of Ed Balls who went to the independent all-boys fee paying Nottingham High School.
Funny that!?

On that basis can Harriet Harman comment on anything as she went to St Paul's?!
I love how the fact that you were blessed with an opportunity for a fantastic education now bars you from being a high ranking politician in some people's minds.
Surely people who are lucky enough to go to good schools will know by experience how bad ones can be improved?
Perhaps the Health Secretary should be someone unhealthy, the Home Secretary an illegal immigrant, etc.
The depressing thing is that most Labour supporters still get excited by a bit of class war - but they conveniently forget that their most successful leader was - erm - a public school boy.
Dizzy, Many thanks, made me laugh. What a pratt! And I have written my own take on it as well!
(I also agree with the others comments as well)
Dizzy : Chris Paul is well known pratt. He speaks in a voice of great authority on subjects he knows little about ! Typical juvenile NuLab balderdash. I have questioned what exactly his occupation is ? How does he have time to churn out all his empty rhetoric on so many Blog sites ? Is he paid by the Tax Payer or the Labour Party? Anybody know ?
Oh I know.. I just felt the need to make him look foolish as I was bored this morning.
Dizzy : You really don`t need to make him look foolish he does that quite easily without any help! He once accused me of being "thick" purely because I am a Liverpool person. Whenever he`s in a corner he "squeals" venom like a cornered rat. I`ve never held people in much esteem who, can`t express themselves properly without the use of foul language, but that`s Newlab for you !
P.S. I like your Blog site ,some really good, interesting and informative stuff on it, keep it up !
"...I just felt the need to make him look foolish..."
Bit of a waste of your time, when he does such a bang-up job himself!
Err, by Chris' argument, anyone who went to a State school would not be able to comment upon private schools then. Nor their exams, charitable status or anything else.
Great, finally getting the Labour Party out of the sector.
