Thought I'd just give a quick skim over some of the Early Day Motions that have caught my eye today. The first, all about protecting bookmakers from losing money is by the Muslim MP, Shahid Malik. Yes really, Muslim MP tabling motion in support of people who make their money doing something outlawed within his religion. Funny old secular world huh?
The second motion is from the Labour MP, Ashok Kumar, who is very upset that Sainsburys have increased the calorie count in their own brand soft drinks. He wants the Government to interefe with business and do something about it so we no longer have the right to get fat if we want too. Nanny always best as they say.
Finally, and speak of nanny, we have Peter Kilfoyle tabling a motion which is demanding a creche so MPs can dump their kids off somewhere. Now, given he's just turned 61 and has five kids the youngest of which probably doesn't need a creche, has the old duffer got his missus err... well.... you get the picture.

Funny old secular world? The thought never crossed my mind in any of the dozens of Muslim owned off-licences I've frequented over the years.
Come off it, once they know you aint gonna grass on them they'll quite happily join you for a bacon sandwich or a pint of stella.
