Ron Paul for limeys

Last week I wrote about the outrider Republican nominee Ron Paul who appears to have quite an Internet following (but is of course a no hoper and will not win the nomination for the Republicans ever in his wildest dream (Go Fred Thompson! w00t!))

This said, the Crossed Pond limey blogger Adam - who brought us some brilliantly funny Limey Guides to America - has written a handy pull-out and print guide to Ron Paul just for us (where "us" is defined as ignorant subjects of a tyrannical regime that controlled the tea market and thought George Washington was a terrorist (oh yes he was!)).

Fred Thompson sucks man. He's just another Bomb The World wacko who wants to run this country into the ground, financially and literally.

But I'm glad he's in the race, he takes votes away from the rest of the pro-war loons.

And they call us the insane. Amusing.

The reason that Paul won't win is because he's actually standing for what a lot of other politicians, anre voters, conveniently claim to stand for but, in reality, find uncomfortable to consider. He's rhetoric made real, and that's clearly not very popular.

Thompson has an interesting past - he's lobbied for Equitas Ltd (in the asbestos lawsuit) and for former Haitian President Aristide - the man who used to refer to America as "the Great Satan" and advocated the "necklacing" of political opponents!

In any event is doesn't matter because Clinton will be the next US president. It's arguably in the Republican Party's interest to throw this one - since that means all the fallout from the spend-spend-spend Bush policies can be blamed on the Democrats!
