What a strange eery silence there is from the mainstream media about Peter Hain's interview with ePolitix. With the exception of the Daily mail and the Guardian, there appears to be no other comment about the fact that Hain essentially said that the last ten years of Labour policy on matters of criminal justice have been a failure.
Any other time such statements would be poured over in great details wouldn't they? Yet, in the middle of an election contest that he's actually in, Hain's rather obvious swipe back at Reid has been ignored by almost everyone.
That must hurt quite a bit huh? You're a Cabinet level minister, you say the Government has been shit for the last ten years, and only the intellectuals at the Guardian and the shrill-sters at the Mail pay any attention to you*.
* And me of course, but I'm nobody.

Everyone knows his opinion isn't worth listening to. He's probably only been kept in the cabinet so that he can't cause trouble on the back benches.
It will all soon be over thank goodness!
