"Do you have a question for the next Prime Minister? Gordon Brown will take office on 27th June, and he has agreed to answer questions submitted by our readers."So why am I confused? Well basically I don't understand the use of the word "gay" in the title. OK, so Pink News is a newspaper with a specifc target audience of the gay community. However, does that mean when one of the readers asks "why have you screwed my pension?" the question is a "gay question"?
Of course, it might turn out that all the questions submitted end up being about gay issues, in which case they might be "gay questions" although I'd personally just call them questions all the same. If it said "Gordon Brown will answer gays' questions" then that would work. Maybe it was just a subbing problem?
There is another explanation for the headline of course. but I'm not sure Pink News is into such subtle tabloid innuedos.

Does the nappies/rocking horse/shitting himself story qualify as a gay question?
Before I saw "pinknews" on the link I thought the headline meant that Gordo was going to respond to allegations that he is gay.
Doesn't the headline mean that they think the questions will be, like, not very good questions? That way they could be considered "gay", "shit", "disabled", "pedaphillic" and "poo" questions. Stands to reason, though, cos it'll be a jack up and only erm students, pensioners, union delegates/shop stewards/wokshylayabouts and government workers (as opposed to civil servants) will have their questions selected for answering.
verification = fubii
"Oh, thats just fubii, honey!"
If you could all stop being childish boys for just one second - the point is that Pink news is using this as an opportunity to pin Brown down on gay issues. He has assiduously avoided voting on any homosexual rights issues in the last ten years and has made no comments about it either. Understandably the LGBT community is very determined to try and pin down the next Prime Minister of this country and find out not only where he stands but why he hasn't voted on any LGBT issues.
In which case it is, as my wife said when I showed her it... "a shit headline".
yep, it's The Pink Paper Dizzy ... nice job working in the wife reference ... "Dizzy to answer gay questions" could have been next ...
