There's nothing like being a little bit prescient to make you feel smug in the morning. At the beginning of the month I posted about the CBeebies shows In the Night Garden, and it's worryingly trip induced characters, the Ninky Nonk, Iggpiggle and others. The reason for the post was for two reasons, firstly to say how my kid cannot say Ninky Nonk properly and comes out sounding like something else, and secondly to say it was the new Teletubbies and predict it would storm the shops this Christmas.
It turns out that I was not that prescient as Tom Watson beat me by two days, but we seem to both be in agreement about the shows mesmerising power, and its unique weirdness. Like Tom I have also received stupid amounts of hits because of mentioning it.
A week or so later, the Sun about it, and now the seriously pious Independent have too. I didn't actually realise Tom had written about it until just now when I searched on Google News and saw him mentioned in the Sun, but clearly as fathers we can both put his incorrect politics aside and bask in the knowledge that we're ahead of the game.
All hail Igglepiggle I say!

I am a little embarrassed to say that I too am a fan, but... my children are now grown up!
Dizzy - have you read my latest piece for the Guardian's CiF? On past performance it will probably send you potty!
Read and thought the CiF commenters said all that was needed!
Mine are too old for this. But I'm not.
