Ten years on... what Labour said

Very soon it will be exactly ten years since New Labour came to power on the crest of an anti-Tory "things can only better wave". Their have been so many financial scandals since then involving millions of pounds that the list is too long to go into. The Little Red Book of New Labour Sleaze will help people out on that matter.

However, scandals aside, it's interesting to look back at what Labour said back then and what they then did as a means to illustrating the sheer level of deceit that runs through the Government. Jonathan Sheppard of Tory Radio is doing just that with the 1997 manifesto. In a series of posts under the title "What Labour said" followed by links to what Labour actually did. Well worth a read and I imagine there are probably far more to come.
