It has been a long held, and well known fact amongst petrolheads, that cows are one of the biggest producers of so-called "Greenhouse Gases" by virtue of them farting methane all day. As any good fan of Top gear knows, Jeremy Clarkson has in the past called for a mass culling of cows not cars as an official Government policy.Clearly the Liberal Democrats have been listening (well sort of), as yesterday their Environment Spokesman (and potential leadership challenger) Chris Huhne acknowledge the evil that cows are bringing to the world in the form of their noxious rear-ends.
In a speech to farmers yesterday he called on them to change the diet of their herbivore herds in order to reduce the amount of methane they pump into the atmosphere, thus saving us all from The Day After Tomorrow doom which awaits us.
Presumably the Lib Dems are going to propose that cows are kept in concrete "fields" to stop them from eating grass.

It looks as if they are too late anyway. Inconvenient data for the global warming paranoiacs appears to show that methane levels are either stable or falling. See this article here http://www.co2science.org
I was send a press release on this and commented on my blog. Lib Dems should be happy with Ming as their leader of they could have Huhne talking about cows's bottoms at PMQs!
Or alternatively Clegg talking out of his own bottom, Oaten eating the contents of his bottom, or
Charlie talking out of the bottom of a whisky bottle.
