MI6 History Book

Apparently, the Secert Intelligence Service (SIS) also called MI6 has agreed that Bloomsbury Books will publish an official history book on the service.

The book's going to be written by Professor Keith Jeffery from Queen's University Belfast. Don't start getting excited about the possibility of dodgy dossier information, it's only going to cover 1909 to 1949 as SIS says it has to protect information after that year which is still quite sensitive. Presumably that means that ex-employees and people in files from 1950 are still alive.

The book won't actually be published until 2010 though. I do hope Politico's will be stocking it.
