Word reaches me that over the holiday weekend, Gordon Brown went off visiting lots more seats that he's probably going to lose. One such seat was Eltham in South-east London (where I used to live many moons ago).
Seemingly, Brown visited the Coldharbour Safer Neighbourhood Unit and team. Residents there of course know all about the unit because it's never open, you never see the people that work there and don't expect to get anything but an answer phone if you want to contact them - don't even bother trying on a weekend.
Imagine the shock to discover that when Gordon arrived, all police officer and fake police officers were present and the unit was actually open and ready for a photo opportunity. Funny old world politics huh?
Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime but only if the politician is actually present and someone has a camera.
