Crazy poll......

Generally speaking, I don't do polls and when I do it's a very occassional thing. This is one of those such times because an incredible poll from ComRes for ITV as been released, the headline figures being

Conservatives 36% Lib Dems 35% Labour 24%

Now, there has been inevitable excitement over this, but it's worth remembering that it's a poll of people that watched the debate, rather than a poll that has been balanced and weighted nationally etc.

However, whilst the people polled, and those watching the debate, are more likely to vote anyway, it remains an incredible twist in the saga of the debates and what their impact will/might be.

I imagine, even with the note of caution, there will be quite a few Lib Dems activists very happy and getting back outside in their constituencies to prepare for Government the balance of power.
