Who said.....?

Who, in their 2005 General Election Manifesto said that the eleventh axiom of economic policy is,
Owners should work, and workers should own.
Answers on a postcard....

Update: Well done to the first comment. Yes that's right, the "far right" BNP consider this very "far left" statement as a self-evident truth.

The BNP? (*Please* let google be right)

Congratulations, the "far right" BNP do indeed consider such a "far left" statement to be a self-evident truth. You win the privilege of being the first to post a comment and to post the right answer. How does that make you feel?

Surreal, although that could simply be the combination of coffee and caramel digestives that has maintained my somewhat zombie-like state for the last 32 hours.

Mmmmmmmmm... coffeeeeee

All about the caramel digestives: chocolate, caramel and biscuit in one, completed with the typical brilliance, the circular layered design, that the McVitees brand is renown for.
Besides, they're made in Manchester which automatically qualifies' them as kickass!

Oh how I wish I could but I'm coeliac sadly.

...in that case... Viva la la revolución de café!

Its like the the BNP have no coherent ideas or political philosophy and use empty phrases which they feel will appeal to people on an emotional level without encouraging them to apply any critical thinking... wait...

.. Manchester ? Kickass? Hm, isn't that what Barca did?

Left or right, right or wrong, nasty or not I'm voting BNP in the local & EU elections.
I have NEVER done so before but it's time to send a message & to pee off the lefties who have nearly destroyed Britain with it's too left extreme policies.

If the Tories were in power I wouldn't have to vote like I am as they get the balance right!

Have a nice weekend all & I hope your looking forward to the elections as much as me :o)

Pretty much on the case about the Neo-Nazis.

Visit here (an old blog I discovered) to see even more examples of "Far Right" Leftism.

Fascinating.

St. Peters Gluten Free beer is delightful, we buy it by the case. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Who needs coffee?

BTW I thought that BNP was a robber bank. Are they related?

The socialists and fascists(national socialists) are two cheeks on the same arse with pretty much the same shit coming out the middle. It's why they hate each other so much as they compete for the same space.

@Christopher - actually after that statement in the manifesto is an explanation which talks of "pension-fund socialism"

It might be a good idea to read their manifesto first... Their policies are largely considerably to the left of the existing "lefties"..! :-)

@Pogo
Thanks for your advice but I've had plenty enough advice already from this left wing government, limp wristed lefties, the Tories, etc, etc!

I'm not a stupid person believe it or not but in the upcoming election I HAVE to send a message & pee off lefties, I REALLY hope many others think like me & vote for the BNP, then when the BNP are making big gains the other parties may relise that if they don't do the right thing by the British people, their worst nightmare will become a reality at a general election & they REALLY don't want that.

Voting BNP this time is my way of sending a warning shoot to the main parties.

Any lefties reading this!
SEE what you've made me do?

Have a nice one all ;o)

Hang on a second, you want to piss off lefties by voting for left wing policies?

T England. Raised from the dead. said...

Come on Dizzy let's not play games, you & I know exactly what a Tory like me means by saying lefties, trying to tell me I'm voting for a different set of lefties is pointless.

Let's say my bottom line is this!
The BNP getting loads of votes pees off Labour lefties & that makes me SO happy :o).

Anyhow Dizzy! Have a nice weekend ;o)

Okay, T, so you're voting for one set of socialists to piss off another set of socialists.

Either way, you're voting for socialists.

Round these parts, I could piss off Labour in a myriad of ways: voting SNP, or whatever Toamy Sheridan's former mob has mutated into: the Socialist Party o' Me an' Him and I'm No' Too Sure Aboot Him, or something. (And don't think they hate the BNP any more than either - the Nats may be more respectable - for some reason - but the Peepul's Party can't stand them.) Frankly, though, I'd rather be buggered with a rusty poker. Sideways.

Of course, that's looking an increasingly superior option to the Tories as well these days...

hhmmm.... I think this is a bit cheeky.

for one it's clear that the statement is about the extension of share-ownership. what is inherently left-wing about that (left alone 'far left')?

more broadly are you saying that no part of the Right believes that 'owners should work and workers should own'? I thought the Right was in favour of extending ownership, and I assume that defending idle owners isn't part of the programme.

and on the theoretical level 'pension fund socialism' is a term coined by Peter Drucker, not really a man of the Left, to describe how the gradual shift of share-ownership to pension funds would result in a form of worker ownership. it's not really much to do with socialism in the political sense at all (and in any case the trend has reversed in recent years).

finally, what about all the other stuff in the BNP manifesto you didn't mention (leaving the EU, anti-multiculturalism, scrapping the BBC license fee, shifting tax to consumption rather than income etc etc) much of which would make many right-wing bloggers weak at the knees.
