+++ McNulty Police Probe +++

Sky News is reporting that Scotland Yard have said that the Employment Minister, Tony McNulty could face a Police probe over is expenses claims.

Update: Reports are that Scotland Yard have received a complaints of obtaining financial advantage by deception - I believe that is commonly called fraud - and they are considering the complaint.

That's good news for a Friday night.

Mind you, I'm wondering if Dave is sitting comfortably tonight. He and his chums - online and off - have gone very quiet.

Well at least it wouldn't be identity fraud...

The government has focused too much on the benefits to the state and too little on the potential gains for the individual, argued Home Office Minister Tony McNulty speaking to a Fabian policy seminar on ID cards

Nothing is going to happen, same as nothing has come of any complaints made in recent years over this corrupt Government.

The police are the establishment and will protect them.

Perhaps they could let the TSG boys handle this one.

I note that the police are considering whether to investigate the leaking of material to the Daily Telegraph.

The police should instead be investigating fraudulent expenses claims by MPs and members of the House of Lords.

The police will let them off. In fact, I bet like Tony Blair, over the cash for peerages scandal, no DNA samples will be taken either.

Looks like a case for the Anti-Terrorism Plod.

Tony McNulty must repay the full £60,000 and not simply the £13,000 recommended by the Public Committee on Standards. Remember that one has to earn at least £100,000 before tax to take home £60,000 - this means Tony McNulty actually stole £100,000, not £60,000. He must quit his post as MP for Harrow East (where he's done little good and keeps sending these stupid leaflets about how he will continue to improve the Borough - more like how he will continue to milk the system). What does Tony McNulty take us for? We are NOT going to let him carry on as an MP for Harrow East! And by the way, I hope Scotland Yard takes this case seriously now that the Committee on Standards has ruled against Tony McNulty! No more milking the system Tony - just repay the full £60,000 + interest at the court's judgment rate and then get a civilian job and we'll see how long you last in the private sector!
