Admittedly I have the Google G1 from T-Mobile, but its running the same version of Andorid now as the new HTC Magic on Vodafone. Sod iPhone, Android is the way forward!
I'm hoping that T-Mobile will be continue to roll out the new versions of Android to the G1 (I also have one) so in theory, the phone should last me well and truly straight through my 18 month contract (as long as I don't drop it).
Yeah I got an HTC Magic last week and I am really impressed. I've never owned an iPhone, so I can't compare, but there are shed loads of apps coming out thick and fast and most of them are free.
Nice video. Since getting my iPhone I've become addicted to it. Really people should stop trying to come up with a 'iXXXX killer' and just make the best device they can.
I love my iphone it does everything I want and more and it is a lovely looking piece of kit. My only gipe is typing on a screen I prefer a keypad.
I've got an iPhone, my Mrs has the G1. I've got to say, the iPhone interface is much more polished, logical and responsive. Trying to use a G1 after using an iPhone is a disappointment; it's clunky and awful. Even Google Maps is worse on the G1 - multitouch makes it so much better on the iPhone.
The only thing that the G1 has that the iPhone doesn't that I am desperate for is the Wikitude application.
The G1 update - going over the air now across the country - polishes the G1 up. It does support multitouch as well, only I believ Apple are trying to claim some sort of patent on it or something so there are legal things going on.

How do you watch live matches on your phone?

I got the update last week
The Magic is without doubt the best phone ever.

Try the game Cestos, it's addictive.
I believe the power management is much better on the magic than the G1, although I do like having a slide-out keyboard as well as a virtual one.
Hey, that's real trendy, Dizzo.
All very interesting, but is it any good as a phone?

I am torn between buying either an iphone or HTC Magic. Is the iphone's multi touch the killer difference? Or is multitouch overrated?
Astroturf!
huh?
You rock Dizzy.
Great HTC video. :D

I'll have to see if she's got the update and have a butchers.
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Apple asked Google not to incorporate multi-touch into Android. How this remains the case is the open question.
It's hackable
