Due to heavy snowfall there may not be many posts on this blog today. I have decided to come out in sympathy with the travel system and take secondary action.
Dizzy, the point is we have all been lied to by this government about what it can do - it can no more help these strikers than fly in the air. Brussels rules, not Parliament, and it's time the public knew it.
"Due to the recent heavy rain, the airport is closed today and there is no weather report available from their meteorological staff. We are not yet sure when the airport will reopen. Whether we can bring you a report on the weather tomorrow will depend on the weather." Dubai Broadcaster
"Due to a strike at the Met. office, there will be no weather tomorrow." BBC announcement.
I do love the idea that a mere foot of snow brings us to a grinding halt though. Snow's not a problem for anyone with half a brain, it's ice that's the problem.

Good for you if you can joke about something so serrious to the British workforce, I'm sure like me they respect you for it!!!!!!!
Sorry, I don't support striking, nor do I support the argument that immigration is the cause. Immigration is a sympton of a wider systemic problem.
