Nadine Dorries to quit blogging?

Yesterday at Conference (am now back in London) I did an event with Guido, Devils Kitchen, Iain Dale and Nadine Dorries. During the discussion Nadine announced that she is considering stopping her blog because of time constraints. Newspaper diary columns lose another vital source?

I realise that some might say she's not a "propa blogger" because she turned off comments (after threats were made to her and her family), but at the end of day it would be shame if her diary disappeared.

Note: Croydonian blogged this news live from the event.

UPDATE: It;s been noted in the comment by Unity that Nadine did not turn ocmments off because of threats but because she ran away scared from lots of bloggers who accused her of making statements about a journalist falsely. What Unity has failed to realise is that it is perfectly possible for the faslity against a journalist to be true simulatenously with the threats against her and her family. Of course, if you instantly assume that anything someone says is a lie then an acceptance of logical reality will never work anyway.

No, Dizzy.

She turned off the comments because she made a false allegation about Ben Goldacre in a parliamentary report and then ran away and hid when challenged to apologise by several bloggers.

She didn't spin her line of bullshit about threats until a day or so after she'd turned the comments off, having claimed that she was simply too busy to respond to them.

Don't try an bullshit this one Dizzy, it's too well documented by bloggers on all sides. It really ain't worth it.

Oh for fuck sakes  This sort of bullshit response is so fucking typical of the anally retentive bloggers like yourself. The hilarious thing for me is that Unity, the great a matter fisker, would make a statement like this:

"She didn't spin her line of bullshit about threats until a day or so after she'd turned the comments off, having claimed that she was simply too busy to respond to them."

Nice little post hoc ergo propter hoc there. A complete dienial that x or y might have a roll to play in addition to other things. You're not a simpleton Unity, but the reasoning you are displaying here has a home in a simpleton's head.

At the end of the day it is entirely possible that the Ben Goldacre thing, plus the threats to her and her family actually happened. The problem for you (and incidentally that fat australian twat Ireland) is that because she didn't say certain things in the right order it follows that there is deceit. You;re actually better than that.

To be perfectly frank though I couldn't give a fuck then and I don't really give a shit now. My paragraph was related to the rather piss poor shouting by purist twats (Ireland again) that because someone turned comments off you can't call them a "blogger".

Now old chap, kindly fuck off and do sometrhing else. Fisk this comment if you like. I on the other hand am working and preparing to go on holiday.

How long did it take you to look that up in Madsen Pirie's Big Book of Arguing?

West Wing episode actually. Plus two semesters of logical philosophy at University, always handy.

Incidnetally, the point you were making was what exactly? That I might be able to read? How cutting.

A non blogger gives up not blogging on their non blog. Slow news day or what?!

The Goldacre thing did happen. It may well be that the threatening thing happened as well, and if so it's deplorable. But it looks very much like she's been able to avoid being called on the Goldacre smear by retreating from debate entirely.

Thats a shame more boring nobodies like Unity and less MP`s .

Threats?

So Dolly Drapers rapid rebuttal unit is getting serious then is it?

Certainly there is an outpouring of clearly trollish posts on tory blogs at the moment.

BTW all,
I commend this article from The Times which highlights the stealth tax nature of the way Brown is nationalising Bradford and Bingley

Dizzy it was great to see you here in Brum. The day pass issue should be reviewed.
I talked to Nadine in the ICC a bit later and she repeated that she's not definitely going to stop.

PS: I did hear you say "the Ego has landed' when Dale put his blog on the projector. Heehee

I did indeed say that :)

Dizzy, please, please, pretty please >> Will you STOP saying 'at the end of the day'? Thank you soooo much! xxx

Two terms of philosophy? And you claim yourself qualified to talk about the real world?

What a fucking twat you are! You couldn't even do a worthwhile course!

Mind you, I often hear the word Kant when the name Phil Hendren is mentioned. At least I think that's what they say.

Firstly I said two semesters, not terms. There is a difference. Second I said "logical philosophy" not "philosophy". The latter is wide ranging the former is specific. Third, I haven't claimed myself qualified to talk about the real world. You've claimed that I've claimed that I have. It's a worthy attempt at a straw man, but straw man it remains.

What a fucking twat you are!

Indeed I am a twat and quite proud. Although in the twatish stakes I would attest that your ability to write the previous two sentences with three glaring errors that highlight reading comprehension issues along with hopelessly flawed attribution would suggest that you may well be a larger twat. If not though it does show you're not nearly as clever as me.

You couldn't even do a worthwhile course!

This is a rather subjective statement, after all, worth depends upon application of what one learns and its usefulness. Given that it provides the ability for me to point out when yours (and others) arguments are shit, I'd say it was very worthwhile indeed. There were other courses mind, mostly with computers, programming, networking, that sort of thing which has resulted in me earning lots of money. Go me!

Mind you, I often hear the word Kant when the name Phil Hendren is mentioned. At least I think that's what they say.

Oh my, how witty of you. You used the name of German philosopher to call me a cunt in a clever way. One might wonder whether you're suffering from block bowels though given the rest of your piss poor responses.
