£10,000 to sit next to Gordon

This morning's Times is reporting that the wooing of donors by Labour has started in earnest given they're so heavily in debt and still owe lots more money as the hangover from "Cash for Honours". Interestingly there is apparently going to be a special gala dinner later this month which Labour is hosting that is £10,000 a plate.

The location is apparently being kept under wraps which presumably means that the Gordon is going to be goin. If I had the money I don't think I would be willing to pay £10,000 to sit next Gordon, that eye of his, the constantly dropping jaw, forced smile and the fidgeting hands scares me.

Clearly they're on the offensive for cash, and you can see why when you compare the £580,000 they raised in the last quarter from individual donors to the £9.8 million the Tories managed. They're panicking.

QUICK SURVEY:

How much would you spend to avoid having to sit next to Gordon Brown?

Ten grand for a bit of rubber chicken and a lettuce leaf, but McBroonie still maintains inflation is under 3%....

Re Stakeholder's question, I would pay nothing, preferring to sit through an hour or two of agony - but I would still have my money to go for disinfestation treatment and an ice cream afterwards.

Cant imagine anyone paying to sit by bruun seems like some kind of hell.

Oh I don't know. It'd be almost worth £10,000 for the chance to stab him in his remaining eye with a posh silver fork.

Re the 10K to sit next to Gordon, would that be on his good or on his blind side.

After all, 10K to sit where he can not see you is pointless if your trying to slip a quiet bung to our beloved leader.

So will Labour be saying that if you get the blind side its 10K but they will throw in some sweetners on the deal?

And they reportedly think they should target the owners of small businesses, which indicates they have just completely lost the plot. If there's one demographic group that hates them more than foreign residents... possibly more even than holier-than-thou anti-war radicals.

I have a brick ready to send in if they dare approach me.

And this morning (Wed) BBC R4 is reporting plans for a 2009 election coinciding with the MEP election.

Thats because all the parties with a European presence will get Euro cash to pay for the MEP elections, so Broon probably thinks he can campaign on the back of it for free...
