Brown has done a launch video for it (although I was contacted about the channel by someone at Google directly with no mention of it being a Labour/Brown initiative) and his video is... errrrm... well it's boring and he's looking.... oh I don't know what he's looking at or where he's looking, it's just odd, especially the bizarre bounce and smile at the beginning.
To be honest, this really isn't all that suitable as a YouTube launch video. It doesn't 'engage' anyone really. If you are aiming the video towards the younger generation then why use the same style that disuades [sic] youth interest in politics.Another says "look at me when you are talking to me." (that one made me snigger). But really, the best comment given that Brown is blathering on about YouTube and the Internet like he knows about it has to be the one that says "paperlilies for PM!".

scary smile
Listening to Brown is enough to put even hardcore political geeks off their breakfast, so I can't imagine what it would be like for a young aspiring politician to watch it.
Stop smiling you creepy wierdo.
So that's another generation turned off politics.
That smile is disturbing, does David Icke think he is one of them reptilian people?
Yet another example of government condescension to ignorant voters. Idiot smile, averted eyes... he looks like the type I'd warn my children to stay away from.
Remember GuanoDung's Wiki page? The comments could make this go the same way.
They're already subject to approval. Someone has complained already about them being edited.
'Now their editing comments...come on Labour, stop supressing us!'
Which government policies have changed as a result of the Number 10 on line petitions?
"Which government policies have changed as a result of the Number 10 on line petitions?"
Yes I noticed that. Ether he's lying or he's gone whichever way the most vocal side of an argument have pushed him. Not exctly edifying.
Good question for PMQs on a quiet news week.
Not that there looks like being many of those for a while.
He always starts his YouTube vids with a huge smile. Most alarming. Worse, he does it regardless of the subject - e.g. a recent one on AIDS, there he was with his grotesque "smile", cheesing it, until someone tells him it's not a funny subject.
Me? I think Tommy Copper is much funnier. And he's dead
Mind you, credit where it's due, he didn't blink at 0.56 when one of the studio hands hit the deck (listen carefully) having fallen asleep at the sheer tedium of it. Or is there another explanation for the mysterious noise: Sarah slamming the door in a huff? The FTSE crashing through the floor? etc etc
I agree with Elby.
Tommy Copper was the tops, especially when he did that routine with his whistle and truncheon.
Watcher: he didn't hear it, as he just doesn't listen.
Sheesh! What's with the averted 'autocue' eyes? And that strange almost-a-gurn face he pulls in pauses.
The Body Snatchers have invaded!
I'm Thrilled, and have even posted links to it from my UK Blog.....by the way its not just for politicos but is also there for a bit of humour ......
