Stressed at work?

The super-soaraway Sun has made a rather good point this morning. Just look at the state of the Home Secretary. Not a very good advert for the job really is it?

Meanwhile, has anybody noticed how much healthier Tony Blair is looking these days? I'm not sure I get the need for a YouTube channel though if all it is going to have on it are his media appearances.

Looks like they're stepping up their campaign against middle class drinking, "Beware that last pint, you could wake up next to this", probably much more effective than their other efforts in this field I'd suggest

To be fair, I don't think she looks massively pleasant in either of those pictures.

I admire anyone who can achieve a top job, and this is at the top of the top jobs list. This lady is an incredible person who I admire immensely, and the fact that "The Sun" thinks this is news reflects more on it and its readers than this fine woman. That this blog thinks it worthy of mention is perfectly understandable. The view seems to be if they ain't made a mess of something today lets make fun of how they look,it being a well known fact all bloggers, "Sun" readers and the like always look really good all the time.

Yes, Comfy Socks, we should certainly all abide by the Queensberry Rules on Polite and Courteous and Reasonable Opposition, so exquisitely propounded and observed by Messrs Blair, Brown and Campbell pre-1997.

she looks to me the spitting image (not the puppet) of the GMTV girl Fiona Phillips. I had noticed the bags under the eyes.. the pressure is getting to her and rightly so. IMHO she is useless

She looks like I do after an 8 hour shift in the town centre on a Saturday Night.

I suppose the main difference is that I have been spat on, sworn at, physically attacked and been asked to help vomit covered drunkards. And I do it for an annual salary which is about £5k less than our Home Secretary gets in Mortgage Relief for her second home.

Dishonourable, flippant and so out of touch. Have a nice Christmas Ms Smith and be ready for a really interesting New Year.

A serving Policewoman.

Tony is looking heathly because he's laughing himself to sleep each night.

Difference is she is hounded by the press on a daily basis. Grilled by MPs in front of millions, her every move is scrutinised. She is responsible for the safety of our country, a job which I doubt allows much sleep at night. You on the other hand do a job like the rest of us, arresting a drunk hardly puts you in the same league. You are already well paid for what you do, she could never be paid enough for what she has to do. May I suggest if you are not happy with your lot get another job for heavens sake.

Lost me Judith, what has your comment to do with a stupid attack on this incredible woman. What exactly do you do that compares with her awesome responsibilities ?

Wow, you really are a massive twat aren't you.

Wow, you really are a massive twat aren't you.

Not when compared to you blossom, you are the massive twat. Me, I'm just an ordinary guy who thinks this government is doing a good job. You are merely a way in which I am able to piss off the moronic crowd who frequent blogs like yours. Stop me posting here and I'll move to another blog, however you will find that the twerps who want to bad mouth this excellent government will flock to hurl abuse at me, much like you have. This is good for business as I'm sure you know, bring them on daft lad, bring them all on.

Oh bless you changed your name. Look, the reason I called you a twat was simply because of the utter contempt with which you evidently hold the police and people that work at the coal face. I mean the irony is frankly marvelous.

Incidentally, I'm not a twat, I'm an arrogant bastard with inadequacy issues. So if you must insult me, at least target your abuse accurately, otherwise you end up not just looking like a twat, but a double whammy twatty twat instead.

Good job by who!? The only groups of people I can think of who are better off now than they were ten years ago are the dole scroungers and the already super-rich.

I've just come back from church and I have it on the highest authority you're all going to hell you know.
Coalface sunbeam, that's a laugh coming from you, I lived in Durham when Maggie was destroying the coalface and the miners. The police were knocking the shit out of the strikers while the families starved. We remember the coalface as we remember Maggie and The Nasty Party. Bloody coal face indeed, Maggie out, Maggie out.

What does what happened when I was eight years old have to do with me? Oh that's right, fuck all other than trying to make a piss poor circumstantial fallacious argument. Try harder.

A beautifully crafted comment Vasey, and it's brevity shows you did not need to give it that much thought.

Now that was brutal, a double whammy twatty twat. You're funny you are, I think I like you.

A complete asshat wrote "Me, I'm just an ordinary guy who thinks this government is doing a good job.".

There is a contradiction here. No 'ordinary guy' currently thinks the govt is doing a good job (unless you have an IQ well below that of a sprout).

You are obviously a paid government stooge. Come on, be honest, you are paid by the govt aren't you!
