Benazir Bhutto says Bin Laden was murdered?

If you can get over the weird prescience that this interview from November with Benazir Bhutto starts off by talking about her potential assasination just wait until it gets just over two minutes in and listen to what she says.

Catch that? She just said Osama Bin Laden was murdered by someone and she said it as if it was common knowledge and an accepted fact. Notice also that David Frost didn't even pick up on it? What's going on there then?

UPDATE: Erm... watch the video interview on the BBC and get yourself to five minutes. Now why have they edited out those words from the interview? Libel reasons maybe? She is very forthright in her certainty about the name of the person that has allegedly murdered bin Laden.

UPDATE II: Having done the rounds on some other sites, there seems to be a minor consensus forming that Bhutto simply misspoke and meant to say the "man who murdered Daniel Perle". No doubt that line will get the conspiracy theorist going even more though.

Dizzy, if I knew how to look at Al Jezeera's version frame by frame, I would look closely at 2.20 because I think something may have been cut there.

Please could you do this? It just doesn't look right to me...

Maybe I'm wrong.

Errr... the BBC interview is mysteriously now unavailable

Evidence? Who has it?
The men in grey suits...perhaps?

Just a slip of the tongue, perhaps?

Presumably the BBC axed those words because accusing someone of murder is a big deal if you're not sure...

Have you listened to it?

Sadly, the BBC link doesn't seem to work - but the YouTube video plays fine. It's interesting how Bhutto states it as 'a matter of fact'.

She accuses Sheikh Omar, who according to wikipedia is currently appealing a death sentence in Pakistan and who has links to MI6 and the Pakistani Intelligence agency, ISI. He's British.

Still can't understand why the BBC would edit such an amazing accusation, especially considering what happened next.

Why the hush hush?

If it is true and she is naming an individual, then it must be one of the biggest stories of 2007 - to be continued. It could give Bush and Brown major headaches as a hate figure in the popular mind has now been removed as well as giving conspiracy theorists a field day.

One crucial question is whether the British press will run the story - or will it have been got at.
In any case the sensible blogs should work it as hard as they can.

Yeah, just ask yourself 'Who gains?' Kinda answers itself really.

The neo Con bastards have suckered the world on Al-Qaeda, terrorism & Islamist extremism for a decade, & I for one would not be in the least surprised if Bin Laden was deliberately 'kept on' as the bogey man to keep the proles in line.

Time to wake up.

"Bhutto simply misspoke and meant to say the "man who murdered Daniel Perle". "

Can that be confirmed anywhere?

The point is - she said what she said. So it goes on and on and on...

i think she misspelled it, otherwise i guess she would have said "the man who KILLED Osama Bin Laden". She doesnt seems to be as much Quaida supporter that she would have said "murdered" the poor old bastard....
