TUC General Secretary talks nonsense

Shock horror! Migrant workers exploited story on the BBC this morning, with a quote from TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber saying "This study reveals systematic abuse of migrant workers, which is tantamount to modern day slavery,". As Croydonian rightly points out, let's play spot the difference for a second,
A man in Africa is sold by one man to another, transported across the Atlantic Ocean or the Sahara in chains, compelled to work without pay under the constant threat of beating or worse until he drops dead.

Another man, several hundred years later gets on a plane in Poland, flies to the UK and does a job for which he is paid, and is at liberty to leave at any time. He would, in common with employees everywhere, like to be paid more.
They do like to use ever so emotive language these Union bosses don't they?
