Tribune editor : 'sources close to' Brown say Spring 2008?
Everyone is speculating about when the next election will be, and, in an interview to be broadcast on Friday on 18 Doughty Street, Chris McLaughlin, the editor of left-wing magazine Tribune has said that sources very close to Brown say the date will be Spring 2008.

So we can conclude that Brown wants us to think that it will be Spring 2008.
Where the hell are Labout going to get the £30 million or so required to run a decent election campaign? I'm sure given the current polls, GB would love to call an election NOW, but he doesn't have the money. Unless he implements (forces through) taxpayer funded political parties, then they simply do not have the cash, and ALL this talk of an election this autumn or next spring are simply talk to throw DC off balance. Sadly it's working.
GB is a cunt with a complete lack of understanding of economics, human nature, freedom and liberty, but he's a clever and nasty political player.
Spring 08 would be pretty cool because we could wipe out some embarrassing stains of BNP and Lib Dems in some of our cities with GE turnouts. But I'm still betting on June 2009.
My view is all this early election banter is to get opposition parties rushing their selections, locking in their leaders, wasting some of their war chests and possibly even stating the odd policy.

But that's all we can conclude!
We should have a referendum on the EUSSR treaty/con-stitution at the same time.
Or if we don't get one, the Tories must campaign on the platform of a retrospective referendum a la 1974/5.

Was McLoughlin the man behind the (now sadly dormant) old labour blog "Stalin's Gran?"

Whoa! I agree with Chris Paul on something! Shite! ;)
If the cyclopean cunt does call an election before 2009, I suggest we look /VERY/ closely at where the money came from!!
