"Thank you for your enquiry unfortunately the traineeship opportunity in [sic] targeted towards the ethnic minority group to address their under representations in the professions under the Race Relations Act amended 2000."So much for meritocracy. It's ironic that these "anti-racist" measures actually help out the lunatic fringe like the BNP by giving them more material for their literature. You can almost guarantee they will use it in Anglia.

Miss Anglian missed a trick. You (and only you) can define your ethnicity to msuit yourself. If challenged, you can act outraged ("How dare you say that I'm not X?") and leave the other party gibbering apologies, as a friend of mine has done. Also, I have seen nothing to prevent you changing your ethnicity later, whenever and however you please.
White is the norm of all the people's of Northern Europe. To pretentiously define it to attempt to downgrade our race. The indigenous people are white and this is the default race of Europe.
