Council sets up "flood blog"
It is refreshing to ocassionally find the use of technology by a political body that is worthwhile, useful and not unneccesarily wasteful of public money. Cheltenham Borough Council being an excellent example. They've set up a free blog on Wordpress solely for the purpose of keeping the local residents up to date on what is happening in relation to the flooding.

And Wordpress is free unless you start adding bells & whistles.
Cheltenham is a Conservative led council and this is therefore a good example of thrifty use of scarce resources.
I Think it is great what they are doing. We are also trying to help those effected by offering free impartial advice on Flood prevention products
