When in Kent... do as the Roma do?

How odd. Apparently, English Heritage are going to teach Kent school kids about Romany culture. Call me a pendantic git if you must, but isn't English Heritage supposed to be concerned with matters English as opposed to Central and Eastern European nomadism?

Or perhaps there is more subtle underlying message here that Kent is, as the Express would say "flooded with gypsies", so someone's decided to spend some money to avoid "lynch the pikey" mobs taking to the streets in the years to come?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for alternative lifestyles ("so long as I don't have to pay for them" as Croydonian would say), but I am slightly bemused as to why English Heritage are the ones doing it.

Simple. They probably have a Cultural Diversity Manager who has to find something to do and has run out of cultures to do it with.

"Oh you can't chop your Momma up in Massachusetts
And then blame all the damage on the mice,
No you can't chop your Momma up in Massachusetts
That kind of thing just isn't very nice."

It looks as though people who axe murder - oooooooooooooops! - manslaughter! - it's such an important point to the person who had their life ripped from her! - old ladies aren't popular around here.

(Old lady sighs from her grave) - "Well least I wasn't murdered."
