This morning's Daily Mail has a truly astonishing story that says MI5 have a list of known jihadists who are working in the Police force as officers and civilian staff. According to the Mail it is believed recruitment rules about positive discrimination may have been exploited, and "that one suspected jihadist officer working in the South East has been allowed to keep his job despite being caught circulating Internet images of beheadings and roadside bombings in Iraq."
OK, so this is the Daily Mail some may say, which is traditionally alarmists about all sort of things, but given the apparent NHS recruitment problems should it come as a surprise to learn that they may indeed be sleepers in the Police? It was even suggested to me the other day that one of the people on the run from a control order may have formerly been a Tube driver on the Piccadilly line.

civilian staff are SUSPECTED of links...even BELIEVED to have attended...radicals SAID to be working...amid FEARS that individuals...reveal that one SUSPECTED jihadist...He is SAID to have argued...dismissal, SOURCES said...SUSPICIONS are growing...attacks COULD have received inside...second device parked near Haymarket was left at a designated "evacuation assembly point" where civilians and the emergency services would have gathered had the first bomb gone off(would everyone really have gone to Park Lane?)...Investigators are trying to establish whether the bombers knew the significance of the location(so the bombers didn't even know?-is that what you are saying?)...Sources said it is unlikely...
All valid point although none of which actually means that the "Islamist in the Police" point isn't true of course.
