"That this House notes the positive support extended to Everton Football Club by Knowsley District Council; compares it to the failure of Liverpool City Council to offer any realistic sites for a new stadium to Everton F.C.; and calls upon Liverpool City Council to provide meaningful support to this local, national and international icon of the footballing arts." Peter Kilfoyle - What a guy!
At last a worthy motion and £300ish well spent. Unlike the outrageous waste of taxpayers money that called for Bob paisley to be given a posthumous Knighthood.

Liverpool is still run alas by Fib Dims.
I'm far more concerned about EDM 1584.... that is NOT a game.
I would suggest that in a free market a business earning shitloads of money for doing very little of any importance, should get on and buy a site and get planning permission....much as Tesco or Asda would do.
Nevermind. They'll just have to come and admire LFC's brand new stadium when it is finished, and if they work really hard, get some success and much bigger fan base they too might have a nice new stadium one day. Or they you could come with a begging bowl to LFC again, asking to share and LFC will have the pleasure of saying no again!!
To quote the great Shanks
"There are two great teams in Liverpool, Liverpool and Liverpool reserves!"
Walk-On, Walk-on!
red shite invades the pitch - no change there then.
Why is it up to any Council to "propose" a site? Surely the club buys some land, applies to build a stadium, builds a stadium and Robert's your uncle's brother?
I've mention what you have written here but added something about kilfoyles hypocrisy over this on my own blog.
It appears that as recently as two months ago kilfoyle couldn't give a damn about this issue.
If you know your history....
Everton, Liverpool, Man United
League Titles 9, 18, 7
Premierships 0, 0, 9
FA Cups 5, 7, 11
League Cups 0, 7, 2
Cup Winners Cup 1, 0, 1
UEFA Cup 0, 3, 0
European Cup/CL 0, 5, 2
The Problem is that the Chankly quote was a rip off of an Everton quote some twenty years before.
You inherit our old ground (Anfield) and you inherit our old quotes. Well done to you.
