Parliamentary Privilege is a handy thing isn't it? It means that MP can make claims that in the outside world would see them subject to libel writs. I imagine that might be the case for the Health Minister, Caroline Flint who said last week in the debate about NHS IT that,
"I am sure that [Conservative MPs] do not rely only on the opinions of such people as Tony Collins of Computer Weekly, who has, I understand, provided briefings solely to members of the Conservative Party"

Bit difficult to show that it would be defamatory, indeed. Merely being untrue isn't enough, I don't think.
