There's little better than feeling a little smug. This morning's Times reports, "Hilary Benn does not yet have enough support from MPs to get his name on the ballot paper in the race to replace John Prescott, The Times can reveal."
When I said this on April 10th few believed it, in fact my blogging friend, Iain Dale, thought I was "barking in the wind". Excuse me whilst I act smug and say "I told you so"!

Does GB see HB as a potential rival and is therefore monstering PLP members not to encourage him? HB probably WOULD get the nominations even now to go for Leader ...
As you know he is very popular in the party and with the bookies and in the country.
I don't know about "in the country" but yes, teh bookeis like him and so, apparently, does the Labour Party, doesn't matter if he can't get the signatures though.
