A stark message for Gordon BrownRiiiiiight! *boggles*
Last night was a poor result. Labour has a proud tradition in Eurovision. Since the start of the competition in 1956, every Labour Prime Minister has overseen a British winner (Harold Wilson did it twice). Winning Eurovision in 1997 was the icing on the cake following Blair’s first election victory.
Gordon Brown must deliver a win if he is to be taken seriously as a Labour Prime Minister.

Labour activists says Gordon Brown must deliver a Eurovision win to be credible?
I'm assuming that this post over on LabourHome is a joke, but will repeat it in full here, because... well... if it isn't joke it's evidence of a loony that I can laugh at.

Quite funnt, It shows Labour activists can mock themselves as well.
He needs to stop that building company of his running riot in the countryside too, and prevent that Dizzy bloke from making comments on my blog!
I'm just waiting for the establishment of a new Dept in Whitehall, with 100 staff and a tiny budget of mere billions, probably in the Foreign Office : Euroff, to achieve this vital objective.
Alan Douglas
And don't forget we won the World Cup under a Labour government.
didn't we get 0 points last time?
Good joke ,we may be able to blame Brown for the lousy weather, but Brown can't be blamed that last night, nice of Malta to give us some points tho.
Sorry to be a pedant but Jim Callaghan didn't oversse a British winner so their basic premise is flawed to start with!
