There are 15 types of in-service Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB). I am withholding the information about acquisition costs as its disclosure would prejudice commercial interests. Purchase costs do, however, range between approximately £20,000 and £200,000.What was the point of the range? He might as well have said "between a penny and infinity" or just said it cost "some money". The "commercial interests" argument when discussing the spending of public money is annoying enough, but what was the point in the last bit?

Sometimes I find myself wondering "what's the point?" when I read some of the responses given by Government. When Anne Winterton asked the MoD how much "each type of rigid inflatable boat used by the Royal Navy and Royal Marines". The response from Adam Ingram was,

All I know is that they will be costing the military at least 3 times what you or I would have to pay.
curious as the government are quite happy to say how much a crashed Nimrod cost to the Lords. If i'm correct the Lords were also told by Lord Triesman that the captured boats hadn't been returned & what the cost of them was.
Give VT a Bell and ask what they charge for cash.
The Iranians have three secondhand models now.
