Over the past few months some of the contenders in the deputy leadership race have been raking in donations from all over the shop. One of the favourite, Alan Johnson, has maned to register just short of £30,000 worth of donation with the Electoral Commission. As yet none of these donations appear on the Register of Members' Interests.
Almost a third of his money has been donated by three companies in the Hull area with links to the building industry, property development and Government work. The first, DMQA Holdings provide largely railway maintenance work to Network Rail. They also recently received planning permission to redevelop a greyhound racing location in Hull.
The second is MKM Building Supplies who appear to do partner work with quite a few of the largest Government quangos going e.g the Environment Agency. The last company is Wykeland Group who are a property developer that do quite a bit of town centre regeneration work.
Now I'm not suggesting for one moment there is anything iffy going on here. It's interesting though that the self proclaimed "man of the people" in the deputy contest should be backed mostly by businesses rather than individuals. It doesn't mean anything of course, I'm just finding today to be a terribly slow one for news and this was the best I could come up with!

No this is highly relevant I am sure . Dig a little deeper and you will find back handers and all sorts. Trust me I know that all Nulab politicians are liars.
