Last year when I noted the interesting links between all the failed Brown coup plotters, I posted a week later about how a certain Political Editor at the Wales on Sunday, Matt Withers, had all but plagiarised my post in his column (even keeping in my "errrs" as I recall). Not long after he apologised for not citing me.
Anyhow, the reason I bring this up is poor old Matt has been caught out in a rather embarrassing situation. The Welsh Arsembly site has noted his use of Facebook and an amusing entry about his drunken escapades, and, as he himself puts in the comments, "[t]wo years' worth of hard fought-for respect and reverence among the political fraternity gone in a shot..."
When will these people learn? Facebook et al are public sites and posting silly comments about yourself, or pictures of you in stupid situations will come back and bite you on the arse if you're someone with a wider world profile.
