You've got to love the Indy for their trying. It's only taken them eleven days but they got there in the end. This morning they have exclusively revealed that the British servicemen being held hostage in Iran is all America's fault.I'm amazed it took them this long to draw the conclusion, but never fear, Patrick Cockburn (what an unfortunate surname) was always going to save the day if Robert Fisk couldn't deliver.

I once knew a cardiac surgeon in Aberdeen called John Cockburn who was introduced prior to a talk he was giving to a lay audience as John Heartburn, the famous cock surgeon.
He told me that story. I don't know if it's true but it's damn funny.
