In this morning's Telegraph, Gordon Brown has written an article defending the Union and banging on about Britishness (again). At absolutely no point in it does he mention the Westlothian Question and the inequitous nature of the current status quo.
Bizarrely Brown also compares himself to Thatcher on the matter of defending the Union (something tells me the average Telegraph readers will not acknowledge the similarities), and then attempts to equate calls for "English votes for English laws" with the current arguments around the failure of multiculturalism.

Labour's legacy will be the destruction of the Union. It is too late for GB to start defending it when he's spent so long trying to break it up. How he can compare himself to Thatcher baffles me! Nice to see lots of celebrations planned for the 300th anniversary of the Union....
